A CIRCLING ACTION
Date: 7th June 1944
While the 29th American Division entered Isigny without meeting any resistance, the 101st Paratroopers were unlucky enough to meet the German 6th Fallschirmjäger on the road to Carentan.
In fact in the village of St. Come du Mont, the 101st was pushed back after some fierce combat.
The American forces retreated and only the following day they managed to break the German defences thanks to the actions of a detachment that went around the town.

More and more, Operation Overlord players have asked us for detailed rules to organise a tournament. This is why we have decided to include this section that shows the four basic scenarios that will be used in the official 1,500 Point tournaments. As you will realise none of the four scenarios foresees "counting points" to measure victory; as many of you will know, the conquest of an objective was often more important that the cost of the lives lost to win it. With this in mind we offer you ÒthemedÓ scenarios that will test your ability as a general.

GAMES WITH MORE THAN TWO PLAYERS

Many have asked us for detailed rules to play games with more than two players and with a large number of points..
The following advice will let you play games up to 20,000 points with no problem. Obviously the size of the battlefield and the amount of time needed to finish the battle will be much greater.
